Day 1
Morning
INTRODUCTIONS
Getting to know every member of the group through singing and acting exercises
PHYSICAL & VOCAL WARM UPS
Including posture, breathing, voice production and projection, vowel sounds and diction; acting through a song; portraying character.
GROUP & INDIVIDUAL SINGING
Learning and working on new repertoire, to develop skills started in warm ups; start working on ideas for material to be used in day two’s performance.
LUNCH
After lunch participants will each receive a 30 minute one on one lesson with Rosie. All other participants will work with Francis on the following:
SONG PRESENTATION WORKSHOP
Work on picking, practising, presenting and performing a song; how to find and choose suitable material; how best to learn and rehearse a song; how to present yourself ready for performance; how to portray character; how to put across a song, as well as yourself, to an audience.
GROUP SINGING
Work on solo and group material for day two’s performance; learning new repertoire; singing in canon, parts and harmony; simple tips for score and music reading.

Day 2
GROUP WARM UPS
Remaining participants will receive their 30 min one on one lesson with Rosie. During this time, other participants will work with Francis on
AUDITION CLASS
Working on preparation for an audition, for musical theatre college and/or show; what to wear; first impressions; which songs to choose, and how best to contrast material; how to present a song and character, as well as yourself.
GROUP REHEARSAL
Continuing to work on material for day two’s performance; introduction of staging and presentation.
LUNCH
INDIVIDUAL PERFORMANCE/MOCK AUDITIONS
Performance of songs, worked on with Rosie, to Rosie, Francis and the rest of the group; panel and group feedback, based on choice of material, presentation of song and self; written assessment and technical feedback from Rosie and Francis sent on after the masterclass.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
A chance to ask Rosie questions about all aspects of working in the musical theatre business.
GROUP PERFORMANCE
Performance on the stage at Jermyn Street Theatre, open to friends and family, of solo and group songs, worked on with Rosie, and in the group singing sessions.
